Summary: You buy a single-technician licence. You can use TechBuddy on your USB on any number of customer machines. You cannot resell or redistribute the software. If it does not run on supported Windows versions, we will fix it or refund you.

1. What you are buying

When you purchase TechBuddy v1.0, you are purchasing a single-technician software licence. This gives one individual technician the right to use TechBuddy on their USB drive for professional PC health checks on customer machines.

You are not purchasing the source code, ownership of the software, or any rights beyond those described in this agreement.

2. What your licence permits

Install and run TechBuddy on one USB drive used by one technician
Use TechBuddy on any number of customer or client machines in the course of your repair or IT work
Generate and retain customer reports produced by the software
Make a personal backup copy of the downloaded file

3. What your licence does not permit

Reselling, redistributing, or sharing the TechBuddy executable with other people
Modifying, decompiling, reverse-engineering, or creating derivative works from the software
Using TechBuddy to provide automated scanning as a white-labelled or embedded service without a separate commercial agreement
Sublicensing the software to other technicians or organisations

4. Price and payment

TechBuddy v1.0 is priced at $39 USD as a one-time payment. This price does not include local taxes where applicable. Payments are processed by Gumroad. We do not handle or store payment card details.

The price shown at checkout is the final price. There are no renewal fees for v1. Future major versions may be priced separately.

5. Delivery

After successful payment, Gumroad will send a download link to your email address immediately. If you do not receive the download link within 30 minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us with your purchase receipt.

6. Refund policy

We offer a refund if TechBuddy does not run on a supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 machine and we are unable to resolve the issue within 7 days. To request a refund:

Contact us at the support email within 14 days of purchase
Include your Gumroad purchase receipt number
Describe the problem and the Windows version of the machine

Refunds are not provided for change of mind, purchases made by mistake after the download has been accessed, or issues caused by running TechBuddy on unsupported operating systems such as Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Linux, or macOS.

7. Updates

Bug-fix updates to TechBuddy v1.x are provided free of charge to licence holders. We will notify you by email of significant updates. Feature updates in a future v2 release may require a separate purchase.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

TechBuddy is provided as-is. While we have designed it carefully to be safe and accurate, scan results are informational only. TechBuddy is not a substitute for professional hardware diagnosis. We make no warranty that scan results are complete, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose beyond general PC health guidance.

Always back up important data before performing any repair work on a customer machine, regardless of what any diagnostic tool reports.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, URO Pvt Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of TechBuddy, including data loss, hardware damage, or loss of business. Our total liability to you for any claim related to TechBuddy shall not exceed the amount you paid for your licence ($39 USD).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka. If you are purchasing from another jurisdiction, local consumer protection laws may apply in addition to these terms.
